I have an installation of Garuda KDE on my laptop, and for some reason when I took the update to Plasma 5.25 it automatically changed my wallpaper. Normally I would find this rather intrusive, but I have to admit I really like it!
Arch Linux
KDE Plasma
Exactly. I was so surprised and possibly annoyed when I saw the update changed my wallpaper. However, I must admit I like this KDE wallpaper and I have kept it for a while. Well, I did not switch back to my original wallpaper yet. This one is really a beautiful wallpaper.
I got tired of Garuda KDE (great distro! I just like to hop) and got Ubuntu MATE 22.04 LTS. It’s quite a snappy DE, on par with Garuda…on my rig at least.
Got to love that Low latency kernel !
It’s been a while! Currently on Chrome OS, but I’m waiting to get my next laptop for Fedora Silverblue
Chrome OS? Why not Linux?
Well, Chrome OS is Linux, buuuuut this is an actual Chromebook. I genuinely enjoy using Chrome OS, and having Android apps available to me is super useful. It comes with a built-in Debian container which I can switch out for Ubuntu or Arch or Fedora if I need to use any other tools (which I do for things like ffmpeg).
Things like the Phone Hub, Smart Lock, and battery performance (especially during sleep) make it really handy for me.
LOL, very true. I guess I meant something a little more open (or in my mind, a little more privacy focused…but that’s just me).
I don’t use Chrome OS so I don’t keep track of it, but it is good to know that containers are available in Chrome OS. That really opens up a lot of possibilities.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I’m always interested in hearing others opinions.
Super stoked! Finally found someone that would trade me straight across for a 3060 ti .!! no more non-free nvida drivers!
That is pretty cool ASCII art wallpaper!!!
Hey thanks! Not sure where I found this one.
