Thanks, everyone, for another fun and interesting episode. I’ve not been on the Matrix chat for a while now but @dasgeek 's sprite sounds like a must-see to me First experience I had of sprite design was back in the 80s on the C64 which had direct hardware suppost for them, though only 8 were available at a time so raster-interrupts that were based on current scan-line had to be used in 6502 assembler to get more!
I love my flatpaks though tend to prefer them some time after Debian stable releases to get far newer versions than repos have.
System76 are doing a lot of admirable work on all fronts. I wonder if COSMIC will be packaged for distros other than Pop?
Fortunately I stopped using MS Office for pretty-much any personal work back in the early 2000s. I understand the need for MS Office compatibility at times and it’s one of only two use-cases I have for Windows now, though thankfully I rarely touch it. Impressive work from the OnlyOffice team in leading on collaboration too!
The matrix room is certainly a good experience but I’ll also share the image at the bottom of this post.
Universal App Formats are critical in my opinion for the growth of the platform.
I think it is only going to be packaged by System76 for PopOS but they did release it as open source and since it is sitting on top of GNOME and isnt a fork it should be totally fine for other distros to package it too.
They might not make an official version but I assume the community will jump right on this for a 3rd party spin.
