Looking to run/host a social community site with a facebook-like “events” function. A lot of local bands and venues are frustrated with present solutions (and many underground places have to rely on word of mouth).
I built such a thing back in the stone ages (it was Cold Fusion based and should stay dead, dead, dead) and will again if I absolutely have to.
Any ideas? I’ve only looked at Matrix and Mastodon so far but neither really fit the bill as far as events go (though I quite like both otherwise).
Any pointers appreciated!
