For over a year and since day one I have purposed to use my original 64GB Steam Deck as my daily driver and in desktop mode almost exclusively. I primarily use my SD for… get this… Windows Operating System Deployment development, Powershell scripting to that end, diving deeper into the Linux desktop/sever, occasionally playing Street Fighter 5,6 and Ark Survival evolved.
Honestly I am shocked and pleasantly surprised with how much this little system can handle.
Gaming is fun, but don’t sell your SD short assuming that’s all it’s good for.
If anyone wants recommendations or advice about getting more from your SD as a full fledged desktop replacement, I may be able to assist if you have questions.
