Microsoft doesn’t think Windows is important anymore

Within 2-5 years we will have a Windows Desktop with Win APIs, running on a Linux kernel with the flavors XP, 7 and 10. Maybe XP would be free and you would have to pay for 7 and 10, like Zorin. They could use those desktops on i386, ARM or in the Cloud.
It would provide huge cost savings and they already anticipate on it.

MS could also adopt the RHEL model and offer support for monetization instead of the license.
