I think Salix 15 is their best release yet. Usually everything you need is in the repos and they are larger than Slackware’s default. The rest can be obtained from Slackbuilds or now as a flatpak. Of course on Slackware/Salix you can compile all software by yourself if you really want to. Everything you need for it is already installed.
