@CubicleNate you already know this but if it helps trigger some ideas…

You could automate battery capacity checks by discharging them by a certain portion at a known load at given times.

So if the load is a steady 100W and it takes 1hr to disharge 10% of the battery’s working capacity, then the working capacity is roughly 1,000WH.

…and if you can’t depend on a steady load, you could use an iot amp reader to rapidly map the power consumption and crunch the average when it’s time for a result.
