There’s been a lot of spam posts on the forum recently. Other discourse installations allow users to flag posts for admin’s attention, but it seems this feature is not enabled in the Tux Digital community forum.
I believe it would be helpful to have this feature so that readers can help the admins get rid of unwanted spam.
That feature is enabled here to my knowledge, Click on the three little dots next to the replay button, Then on the flag icon and you can flag a post there. I’m assuming you have this as well?
I do not have that - maybe there’s a minimum reputation to be able to flag?
Yeah looks like you may be right, Looking at the Discourse trust levels it looks like at least by default new users can’t flag posts, You need to be at trust level 1 to be able to flag posts.
I’m not sure where the levels are set on here but that seems to be the explanation.
Oh well. I see more spam posts than real posts here.
There certainly has been a lot of spam post recently, hopefully something can be done with them on the backend to stop them.
I am not sure why you are still set as a “new user” level but I have increased your account to have access. I will probably need to look into why your account wasnt upgraded yet.
so far all of my attempts have not worked but I will continue to try things
