If you just want to add a wireless audio sink for your iOS devices to your stereo, or other stationary device in your house, you might want to consider looking at Shairport Sync instead. AirPlay is lossless audio streaming over Wi-Fi.
(Although, if you still want the bluetooth option, the current stable pipewire does now include an AAC decoder for bluetooth which should give you high quality audio over bluetooth. IIRC 256kbps AAC which is what purchased iTunes Music is.)
Thanks Pat, i’ve been a bit disenchanted with bluetooth so I was mainly posting this for others. wifi on the other hand is up my alley.
