I’m thinking about starting a Linux User Group in mid-east part of The Netherlands., my hometown is Wageningen.
We have only a couple of LUG’s as the country is rather small, but most of these are in the big cities in the west.
So I was looking at Meetup to get started and see if there would be interest at all, but didn’t realize this was a paid service (Duhh).
Does anybody know of a good, free and possibly open source alternative to Meetup?
I’ll probably still end-up using the Meetup service to poll for interest, but would like to run my own service to plan get togethers and publish the agenda and stuff like that afterwards.
