Thanks for this @MichaelTunnell - very interesting as usual. I’m most excited about Cosmic too: for me it could be the promising basis for a new generation of desktop environments if, as I imagine, it’s potentially more secure than C/C++ bases. I also think that some level of sandboxing in the kernel would be welcome. It might be unrealistic for Linux to ever change gradually into a microkernel type system, but additional protection seems most welcome especially as Linux users tend to be more privacy conscious than others. Just my thoughts!
