This is useful, of course, as has Telegram been for people wanting more privacy than they can expect from WhatsApp. I have to say, though, despite its rough edges as a messenger app, I’ve found Element to be excellent for audio and video calls (as well as chat) and I thing Matrix is definitely the way to go for future communications. I miss the cute animated emojis from Telegram though

Great news. I stopped using WhatsApp after it was acquired by Facebook. Switching family and friends over to Signal has proved quite a challenge though.
