Kernel from Pop!_OS wouldn't show SDDM on KDE Neon 20.04

I know my KDE Neon’s a bit frankensteined by adding Pop!_OS’s PPA on it, so I think the Pop!_OS team wouldn’t help me on this, but I still gotta ask.

I recently upgraded my kernel to 5.8.0-7625 from System76 on my KDE Neon Testing Edition, and for some reason, it wouldn’t load SDDM. It was stuck on my MSI motherboard’s splash screen, but I could still SSH to it. The only thing I noticed when I ran journalctl -r was

overlayfs: missing `lowerdir`
aufs aufs_fill_super:918:mount[2107]: no arg

I noticed that Pop!_OS doesn’t have a linux-modules-nvidia packages in their repo, which I installed on my system. Could that be the cause as to why my system wouldn’t boot properly? Although I have doubts that’s the case because prior to moving to 5.8, I was using the 5.4 kernel from System76 with linux-module-nvidia-450 installed.
Side note: NVIDIA 455 gave me issues so I downgraded to 450 from Ubuntu’s repo.

Right now, to try to avoid that happening, I added on my APT preferences to use the kernels from Ubuntu’s repo for now, at least until I or someone could figure that part out.

This is my hardware, if it helps:
