I know I come off as an Apple hardware fanboy, but I feel I need to correct the record.
Thunderbolt was a term developed by Apple Inc.
Intel called the implementation “Light Peak”
Apple essentially bequeathed the name because Light Peak is stupid.
I just want @MichaelTunnell to know because this would explain why he was so surprised that Intel came up with a good name.
