When I helped with a corporate wide migration to the Linux desktop, having Firefox, LibreOffice (OpenOffice at the time when doing the migration), and other tools being able to run on Windows really helped with non-technical users when we started the roll-out of Linux to the company. How long did it take to do the migration?

When I left 70% of the company was on Linux either dual boot or single boot. Most Linux single boot though had Windows applications either through Citrix or Crossover Office.
