I somehow missed this episode and listened to it today. What a great interview with Vojtech Pavlik!
What caught my attention was where he was talking about reading code and understanding what it is doing without writing a line yourself. At work I am in training and we had a troublesome spreadsheet written by someone who had since left. I am not a software engineer, but after thoroughly reading the code I was able understand what it was trying to achieve and was I able fix the issues with it.

Interview was very inspiring and some great tips there. I think it’s a good idea to get experience at building some applications from source, then, if not the whole of Linux From Scratch? Definitely something I’m planning to look into.
